El Choco began as a couple of dark, hairy capped mutants that appeared in the B+ I had been running for years. For the next several generations, I continued the isolation by taking spores from the darkest fruit in each grow to start the next round. Over time they not only got darker, but also got shorter, thicker, and more dense. Its unique characteristics have made it a prime choice for breeding projects as well, spawning Chocolate Krinkle, Chocolate Gumby, and ChocoTAT to name a few.
